Talking About Android at Droidcon UK

It has been quite some time since I wrote a post in this blog. Don’t worry I have not forgotten articles like ‘ListView Tips & Tricks’ or ‘Concurrent Programming on Android’ (in French only). Actually, the reason for this editorial laziness is quite simple: I am currently in ‘holiday mode’ after spending 2 weeks in Croatia and waiting for another vacation week in Marocco. The fact my personal/professional life has also been very hectic lately (new job search, relocation, apéro Android with Nantes GTUG, etc. …) is probably another reason …

Holidays and life changes will not make me lose focus on Android. As some of you may have notice, I will be attending the Droidcon UK - London - at the beginning of October. Just to sum up, the Droidcon UK is one of the largest Android-only event in Europe where developers, carriers, Google advocates, designers, etc. meet together just to talk about the platform and hopefully its future … I can talk all day long about this event I participated to last year (I gave a talk dealing with a very powerful feature of the Android framework: Drawables - Mastering Drawables) but if you want to know more you can click on the badge below … or even better register to the conference!

It is a great pleasure to announce I will be giving a talk dealing with Android UI development and optimizations. This talk will be entitled: ‘Smooth, responsive and user-friendly UIs: GreenDroid primer’ and will obviously presents some rules to follow to develop great Android applications. I am looking forward to meet all of you and talk about everything you have in mind: GreenDroid-based applications, Android UIs optimizations, future Android versions/changes , etc. If you are also attending the conference, feel free to leave a comment below. See you guys!
